Where do the Google Search Box Drawings Come From

Have you ever wondered where the Google search box art work is designed? Here is a great video explaining where some of the drawings come from. The pictures are referred to as “Google Doodle.” In this video there were twenty eight thousand doodles submitted and six million votes that helped narrow the results down to four national finalists and then finally to the winner. The forty award winning regional finalists were able to have their pictures (drawings) displayed in a national museum, the Smithsonian Institute. The theme for this event was “What I Wish for the World.”

So, if you were wondering where all of those fantastic drawings come from that are displayed on the Google search box that should answer a part of the question. I’ll remember some of the images that I have seen during special holidays and anniversaries decorating the search box for the rest of my life. Images, photos, drawings and paintings are powerful ways to impact people. Thanks Google for touching the world with these kids’ drawings during the Google Doodle contest.
