Internet income streams are how you build your online business. Amazon has an affiliate program that will allow you to make money with your Intuit/ Homestead Site. All you have to do is sign up for the companies associate program  and you will be set to start getting the products on your site.

This particular affiliate program gives you a commission on everything that someone buys from their website if they passed through your affiliate link to get to the products. There are a number of widgets, links and banners that can be placed on your Homestead Sitebuilder pages very easily.

1. Choose the style banner, carousel, widget or text link that you want to use

2. Enter into the search box a topic for the items you want to display on your website

3. Choose what products you want to try and sell

4. Copy and paste the final HTML code into the sitebuilder page on your Intuit website

Recently I watched an excellent video about what can be accomplished within a month of starting a new blog when hard work and a business mindset unite. We can learn very important guidelines for starting a successful blog from this video review about the  Planting Dollars site.  It was developed by Lisa on her “2 Create A Website” blog.

The inspiration for the title of THIS post, (“Stop Whining; Start Working on Your Website!”) was realized about twelve minutes into the video. As I listened to Lisa talking about how success is the direct result of working a plan, I recalled when the light was turned on for me. The turning point of my Internet success came when I made a commitment to post one article per day on a blog that I manage. Because I did not get discouraged and continued to work towards my goal, my blog now has over eight hundred visitors per day after only one year.

Much of my determination to NOT GIVE UP was due to one person who posted a comment in the Website Babble forum in response to my whining about how slow things were going with making money on the Internet.

They simply said: “Hang in there, it’s definitely worth the wait.” I am in total agreement with that statement now.

Since then my online income has steadily increased, but the upward change in revenue came as a direct result of being persistent in steadily working on improving my sites.

As I have mentioned in prior posts, we must treat our website business like a regular job and not as a hobby.

When we look at where we have come from and set short obtainable goals for where we want to get to eventually, our accomplishments reach great heights. Rome was not built in a day. In this video-blog- post called “Get on the Treadmill With me and You’re Getting Off First”- Will Smith tells a story about how a wall is built by laying one brick at a time into perfect position.

I can assure you that if you will be persistent, stop whining and start working on improving your website- building skills and online business growth, passive income will be the result of your efforts.

That’s the beauty of making money on the Internet. Once we learn how to automate our systems and duplicate the things that are working, we will enjoy recurring fruit from our labor.

This is the kind of attitude that I have adapted in relation to my online ventures. I believe that this is how we must be if we are going to really succeed on the Internet. I’ve said it before, we must run faster, harder and longer than our competition.

Take note though, when Mike Tyson bit off a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s ear, the whole world thought it was worse than a low blow.

Don’t ever compromise good professional business practices or your integrity because of your anger. Play by the rules by following good business etiquette. Most behavior that is perceived as disrespectful, discourteous or abrasive is unintentional, and could have been avoided by practicing good manners or etiquette.

Work hard, have fun and never let them see you sweat, especially, if you’re on the treadmill with your competition.

Will Smith put it this way: “while the other guys sleeping, I’m working. While the other guy’s eating, I’m working.”

If we are going to succeed at being at the top of our chosen niche, we must study, work hard and better ourselves every single day and enjoy every moment of our lives.

You Must Establish Trust
There are several ways of establishing trust online. I think everything that I will be discussing in this article will have something to do with establishing trust with people. If we think about relationships off line and how they are developed, the same type principles apply to our Internet friendships and potential customers online. It takes time and spending time with people to establish kinship. I will be discussing how we can spend time with others on this digital World Wide Web throughout the article.

Using Your Photo or Logo
It’s funny; two really good friends of mine have yet to reveal what they look like on their Homestead websites. I’ve only really heard their voice once on a video they uploaded to Youtube. Yet, they have no less than five websites that circulate around their niche. Wouldn’t it make more sense if searchers could make a Homestead website connection with their face on each of the sites? So, if you want to be recognized as an authority in your niche, then you should get your face or logo plastered on your websites. The more people that see who you are the more comfortable they will be with purchasing things from you.

You Must Leverage the Power of Video
The Internet is going full blast toward video. You’ve got to jump on the train or your websites are going to be plundered by video rankings. If you have not noticed, video sites are topping Google’s results all of the time. The other thing about video is that people can hear and be able to see the person behind it all. Here again, you are establishing an authoritative presence and trust online. Learn to use screen recorders, get a Flip video recorder and upload to Revver, Youtube, Meta Café, Myspace, Yahoo and Google.

Use Web 2.0 or Social Media
Get your name out there by using Twitter, Hub Pages, Squidoo, Ezine Articles and free blogs like WordPress.   Many of these web platforms will let you embed your videos on the pages too. These sites get top rankings which will help establish your authority status online.

Publish Content Daily
Make a commitment to publish new content related to your niche on a daily basis. Get the  SEO Homestead eBook for taking your first steps toward learning how to write your content.

Self Promote
It’s funny, several years ago-I read an article where someone said something negative about self promotion. What the heck is marketing about if you are not supposed to promote yourself?  Tell McDonalds, Pepsi and Wal-mart that they should stop tooting their own horn because that is self promotion. Paaalease… give me a break!

Here is my last point that will help you establish yourself as an authority online. You must have a no mercy mindset. You have to run faster, farther and harder than your competition. Use every available means for promoting yourself, your company and your expertise in the niche that you are in.
