I bought one about three months ago specifically to use for making “how to”- videos for my cabinet repair website. I can see why it’s presently the number one selling camcorder on Amazon. The recording quality is outstanding and the price for the digital recorder is right!

Using Windows XP Movie Maker with the Camcorder:

I was personally a little disappointed that Windows XP did not allow me to import my flip recordings into the video-editing program. I found a great FREEWARE program called “All Video Converter” that I use to convert the clips to AVI. That’s an acceptable format for importing into the Windows Movie Maker. It only takes a couple of minutes to convert a ten minute video.

I previously owned the Flip MinoHD so this review is based on a comparison between the Flip MinoHD and the new Flip UltraHD.

“After reading about the Flip UltraHD’s addition of an HDMI output, larger screen, and longer battery life, I decided to sell my 4 month old Flip MinoHD and purchase the Flip UltraHD. Since the MinoHD is very sleek and small in size, my first reaction to the UltraHD was that it was quite a bit larger and bulkier to hold and has taken some time to get used to. However, unless you’ve used a MinoHD- the larger size of the UlraHD will probably be less noticeable. I found the camera controls on the UltraHD to be slightly easier to operate… vs. the touch-sensitive buttons on the MinoHD. As far as video-quality between the two, I compared two different videos and both are about the same. However, the colors appear to be slightly more vibrant with the UltraHD.

When trying to decide which one to purchase… if maximum portability is important to you, then the MinoHD is the better choice. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a compact camcorder with more features (HDMI output, replaceable batteries, longer record time), then you can’t go wrong with the UltraHD.

My ultimate wish is for Pure Digital/Cisco to introduce a MinoHD with all the same functionality as the UltraHD. Until then, the UltraHD is the all-around better choice.”

The sound quality is superb on the videos. There are a limited amount of buttons and functions. It’s not a complicated piece of electronics equipment to figure out. It’s really as simple as pushing the big red button to record and to stop recording.

I have been extracting images from the movies I’ve taken to use in many of the blog posts I make. This feature is easy to work with. Sign-up for a Google account.
Login into Adwords.
Click on “opportunities” at the top of the page.
Look for the “tools” title on the left.
Click on “keyword tool.”

Type your main phrase into the research box and click on “search.”
The results will return hundreds of variations of your keyword phrase.
Look for the most popular combinations and gather ideas from those phrases.

2) Find a Domain Name Generator

There are several free versions out there that are very good.
There’s one that I use called “Name Boy”.
Just type your ideas for your name into the search box and it will yield several
different suggestions.

3) Use Back-link Watch

This is another free tool that allows you to type in a domain name which is already
making top placements in your niche. When the results are displayed, pay close
attention to the “anchor text” phrases that they are building back-links with. Usually
these anchor-links will reveal what your competition considers to be important
phrases in your niche. Extend the research by using these ideas for names in the
Google “Adwords” tool and also use the “domain name generator” tool.

Once you have several ideas for a domain name selected, go to www.GoDaddy.com and
search to see if your domain name is available. If not, continue brainstorming while
using “Godaddy’s” tool.

There are many factors that go into producing good results with your website traffic.
Don’t rush into gathering ideas for a domain name. Try to get some of your main
keyword phrase in it and this will help you be a greater success on the Internet.

Did you know that Google is worth more than General Motors, McDondals and Disney combined?

Google’s co-founder, Sergery Brin, states in the Youtube video below that the company’s mission is to take all of the worlds informations and make it accessible to everyone.

When Google first started, the company could hardly afford to purchase the computer hard drives that they needed. At one point Sergey explains in the Youtube video that they build their own enclosures from Lego blocks to house the hard drives once they go them. It sounds as though they did not want to spend money to purchase the proper cases.

Google serves three gourmet meals per day to their employees. They provide an on-site gym and entertainment at the companies location for the people who work there. The idea behind providing these types of extra-benefits that the employees enjoy is to help them to be more productive. The company is the number one place sought after to work in the web industry. I wonder if you combined, Mcdonalds, GM and Disney for that statistic if Google would still be number one.

I find watching videos like this one to be very entertaining, enlightening and worth my time

So, if you were wondering where all of those fantastic drawings come from that are displayed on the Google search box that should answer a part of the question. I’ll remember some of the images that I have seen during special holidays and anniversaries decorating the search box for the rest of my life. You are going to need an image or logo. If you have developed on and it is stored on your computer that’s great. If not you can visit http://www.favicon.cc/ and create a logo trademark for your site.

There are many free favicon generators that will work fine for creating the trademark from an existing image to be added to your Intuit/Homestead website.

Follow These Steps For Creating an Homestead Website Icon Logo

1)    Search Google for “favicon maker.”
2)    Browse your computer and upload the image to the favicon generator.
3)    Then save the logo to your computer.
4)    Login to the Homestead Site Builder program and open the file manager.
5)    Top left, click on the “import” icon.
6)    Browse your computer and locate the favicon trademark that you downloaded.
7)    Import it into the sitebuilder file manager.
8)    Find the imported trademark, lft click once to highlight it and right click it to select publish.
9)    Remember the file name exactly as it is listed in the Sitebuilder’s file manager.
10)    Open your Index page and click on the “advanced” tab.
11)    Enter this code <link rel=”shortcut icon” type=”image/x-icon” href=”/favicon.ico“>
12)    Replace the bold area of the code with the file name that was in the file manager.
13)     Publish the page.

That should complete the process of adding a favicon logo to your Homestead website program. If for some reason it doesn’t appear, delete your brower’s history and close the window and reopen it. Login to your Intuit website and the favicon trademark should be displayed. If it is not then you will have to try the steps again, perhaps you missed something when adding the favicon code to your Homestead advanced section.

Adding Google’s analytics tracking system to your Sitebuilder pages is easy. This tutorial is for Intuit Homestead website users who want other alternatives to using the Real Tracker system that is provided with the Intuit website program. You can find the Real Tracker in the main account area of your Homestead account.

1) Create an account with Google and then perform a search for Analytics.
2) Copy the HTML tracking code
3) Open the Intuit Homestead Site Builder program
4) Click on the “HTML” icon in the menu bar
5) On the right in the properties editor open the HTML code box
6) Paste the Google Analytics code in the box.
7) Place the box anywhere on your SiteBuilder page

You will have to add the special tracking code on each individual page in order for your statistics to work for your entire website.

The difference between the Intuit Homestead Real Tracker and Google Analytics is that the one provided with your account tracks in present time. With Google’s advanced system you cannot retrieve your web traffic stats except in twenty four hour intervals.

Collecting data through these two systems is a great way to focus on pushing your web pages higher in the search engine results page. It is my recommendation that you study your websites activities on a daily basis so you can see what is working and what is not.

• The way you create links is by clicking on the “text” icon and entering your keyword phrase.
• Now, highlight the text by holding the left button down on the mouse.
• In the properties editor on the right-hand side of the page select “Link.”
• A new small window will open with several options.
• You can choose to “browse” your Intuit/Homestead SiteBuilder pages to find one to link the text to. After you select the page, you can either make it open in the current browser screen or have it open with a second page. These options are found at the bottom left of the small software display window.
• It’s possible to create links on the same page that you are working on in the SiteBuilder. This is done by opting for the feature on the left for linking on the same page. An example of creating this type of link would be if your text was at the bottom of the page and you wanted to link it to the top of the page. If you decide that you would like to create a link on the Intuit website page taking your visitors somewhere other than at the top, you can place the anchor icon anywhere on the page. When the highlighted text linking is complete the visitors will be taken wherever you placed the anchor on the page when the link is clicked on.
• To remove (or, “disable”) an active clickable link you must highlight the text and click on “remove link.” This will break the connection.
• When the space bar is used on the keyboard during the linking process you may end up with a large straight line that is an active link. To deactivate the area just highlight it and click on the “remove link” selection.

So, the process of working with the built-in navigation bar feature is a little bit more complex. Actually, everything inside the Homestead website program is easy to use once you understand how the software operates. Learning how to create text links that are clickable will help you be able to build thousands of Homestead website pages and connect them altogether.

The Intuit Site Builder software process for creating links is much easier than assembling HTML codes. Many of the programs that I’ve worked with require the web developer to have a basic knowledge of HTML codes in order to create an anchor text link. The web developers at Homestead made this entire process very simple for us to use.

First go into SiteBuidler and click on the “HTML” icon in the menu bar toward the top of the page. On the right side of the web page, in the properties editor, set the width and height of the HTML box to fit the calendar size that you want. For most third party integration you will only need to add a bit of HTML code.

Go to Google (you must have an account set up) and click on the “more” option at the top of your page. Once you are in the calendar development area, you must make sure that you put a check in the box that says; “public.”

You will need to adjust the HTML code for the calendar size before adding it to your Intuit website personal, business, hobby or product page. You can do this by clicking on “settings” option on the left. Then you will need to select the name of the calendar you want to work with if you have created more than one. Next, about half way down, in the center of the page, you will see a mini calendar that says; “embed this calendar.” In that same area you will see an active link that says; “customize the color, size and other options;” you should click on that link.

On the next page, scroll about half way down the page and on the left side there will be two boxes. One is for the height and the other text box is designated for adjusting the width of the calendar. Enter the size that the HTML box is on your Intuit Site Builder design page.

Next, leave the Google calendar page and go back into the Intuit website builder. Then, copy and paste the code in the HTML box on your Homestead Site Builder page. You must click on the icon in the properties editor to the right that says; “enter or paste HTML.” This is where you insert the code that you got for adding a Google calendar to your Intuit website.

Now, if you go back to Google and enter information onto your calendar it will automatically be added to your Homestead Site Builder page. All of this gets done in the actual Google calendar area and is then automatically updated to your business, hobby, or product sites web page that you have integrated the feature onto.

This is basically the same method that is used for adding a Youtube Video. This is how you can integrate any HTML document or code that you want to use on your Intuit/Homestead web pages. Adsense ads, Commission Junction advertisements, email optin boxes and just about any affiliate product codes are added to an Intuit web page using this integration method. You can add image shows from Photo Bucket using this integration technique and many other great web page design elements. Any time you see something you want to add to your pages, look for an embed code like the one that was used in the Youtube video tutorial for adding a Google calendar to an Intuit website.

It’s actually the funniest video I’ve seen about the newest craze that is taking the entire world by storm.

My experience with the website has not been a bad one and yet I can honestly say that very little traffic has come about through participating with the membership site.

If you want to make the experience easier, I would create a blog and connect it to Twitter through a website called, Twitterfeed.com.

This service makes posting to the mini content entry pages of the plate form rather simple. The way it works is every time you make a new blog post, Twitter feed updates your membership area with the maximum amount of characters that they allow you to have as an entry.

Twitter Feed is a hands off approach to participating. Anyway that’s my beneficial contribution for this content post and I really hope you enjoy the funniest video I’ve ever seen explaining what real life Twitter would be like.
