Did you experience a huge downward slide in traffic after the Farmer/Panda update when you looked at your Google Analytics reports? If your rankings dropped, there’s not much that can be changed at this point. They have made it clear that they did not target individual websites, but rather made algorithmic changes that filtered through all of their databases.

Does your opinion matter to Google about what is showing in the search results? Apparently so because they have a designated forum thread where you can share your thoughts about what has been happening in the search results since the update went live.

Have your rankings taken a big dive since the Farmer/Panda update that Goolge initiated? Did you experience a giant drop in traffic? Where can you tell Google about what has happened?

If you are one of the unfortunate ones who fall in the twelve percent 12% of the websites that have been negatively effected by the Panda move, you can voice your opinion in the Google forum.

Now, they have made it clear that this was an algorithm change. Here’s a small bit of what is posted on the forum thread where you can voice your opinion:

“Note that as this is an algorithmic change we are unable to make manual exceptions, but in cases of high quality content we can pass the examples along to the engineers who will look at them as they work on future iterations and improvements to the algorithm. “

I was one of the fortunate ones whose sites did not get hit by the Farmer update. However, many of my pages have been forced down a placement or two because eHow or Demand Media pages seemed to have gotten a favorable raise out of the update.

There are several people who have voiced their opinion about Demand Media and the shallow content that this website manufactures in the one million pages they publish every month. This video is well worth watching http://techcrunch.com/2011/02/03/how-google-ambushed-microsoft-and-changed-the-subject/. In it, Google is actually accused by Microsoft of being the ones responsible for all of the trash content on the Internet because of Adsense publishers pumping out poor content to make a quick buck.

The changes that were made were supposed to be targeting the large content farms and scraper sites. Ezine Articles reported a significantly big drop in traffic after the last Panda algorithm tweak. While eHow still dominates the front-page of Google throughout a large scale of niche topics.

If you are wondering what you can do about what happened to your website, Vanessa Fox, a former Google team member, has posted an article offering suggestions. You can read about that here: Traffic Plummeted Since The Google Update

If I’ve learned anything at all since I’ve been publishing pages to the Internet, things can change for the good or bad in an instant. When Google makes changes, inevitably there are going to be large and small websites who get hit hard, experience huge drops in traffic and have big changes to make in order to recover. This is why I feel it’s important to be diversified and have several websites and blogs about various niche topics that you are knowledgeable about.

This is how you will increase traffic and get top rating with the search engines for certain keyword phrases. They represent votes for your website. The more votes you get, the better your placement will be with Google, Yahoo and Bing.

A few months ago I bought into a program called SEO Link Vine. Brad Callen, the developer of the software has an outstanding reputation in the Internet marketing community. Within a matter of a few days I had backlinks being generated totally on auto pilot.

This is an excellent program for building links to your website.

Click here to see exactly how the system works.

The way the program works is that you write an article related to your niche and then use the SEO Linkvine article spinner. The spinner turns one article into hundreds if not thousands of different articles. It’s recommend that you spin the content to at least fifty percent. There is a percentage meter that shows your progress as you are spinning the article.

You are allowed to have two links pointing to your website in each article.

There is a gigantic community of bloggers that the articles are presented to “slowly” over time. The distribution process is set to make the posting of your unique articles look natural to the search engines. As blog owners review your content many decide to use one of your spun articles on their blog. When they publish the article, you then get two backlinks pointing to your site and they get an “original” article to post on their page.

It took me about one hour to spin an article to 80%. Once I gave the SEO Link Vine system permission to start presenting the spun articles to blog owners, it took about two weeks for thirty backlinks to be built. Now that was from just one spun article. The potential to easily build hundreds of backlinks every month is great.

The publishing program allows you to set the amount of backlinks that you want generated from any selected article. You have total control over how many get built and you can stop the process by setting the system to a certain amount of back links.

If you have built any backlinks at all, you know this can be a very laborious task. The SEO Link Vine program has made the entire process much easier. I’m giving Brad Callen and this system two thumbs up.

Give this link building system a try and I am confident you will be amazed at the results you will enjoy.

I recently built two Intuit websites for local business clients that within two weeks took number one placements with Google for the terms we were targeting. Soon afterward, both of these businesses had made more than enough money from their search engine traffic to cover the investment I put into it while building the sites and for the cost of “hosting” for one year with Intuit.

You can learn how to make it to the top of Google.

I’ve repeatedly written articles and produced videos that inform Intuit users that there are seven things that must be done correctly and three that should never be done within the Sitebuilder.

The video below shows how I am able to get great results with the Homestead search engine optimization techniques that are taught in the SEO Extreme Video series. They are available at the Homestead Users website. It is in this series where the secrets to succeeding with search engine traffic are revealed in great detail.

Get the series and you, too, will get higher placements with Google.

Below are a few pointers that can help you right now. There are then still seven more things that you must do correctly inside the Sitebuilder after implementing these three very important pointers I am sharing with you now.

Write plenty of content!
I always recommend that you should have NO LESS than five hundred words to a page. If you visit the business sites we featured in the video, you will discover that the pages have plenty of content on them. Search engines understand what your niche is about by the words that are on your pages. If you want to be found for a phrase, the words of that phrase MUST be on your page!

Selecting a Domain Name:
It’s vitally important that your domain name be related to the niche you will be publishing content about. If you noticed on the video, we found domain names that were very specific to the keyword phrases that people would most likely be using to find their business.

Link Your Pages Correctly:
Always use “anchor” text links on the internal structure of your website. By visiting the sites featured in the clip, you will discover that we linked keyword phrases throughout the Sitebuilder pages.

New websites very rarely start out getting top results with the search engines. Google has something that is called the “sandbox”. When you first publish your site, it takes a little while for the search engines to sift through your details in order to deem you as a legitimate site. If you present site has been up for a while and is hardly showing up with search engines, then you have probably not configured things properly.

Google has certain things that they look at when the Spiders visit a website. If you have these things in proper order, then your chances are much better for getting a higher ranking in the SERPS (search engine results pages). If you do not know what you are doing and just make a website using the pre-made templates, your chances are really slim at getting any search engine traffic at all. That’s just the plain truth!

The SEO Extreme Video Series is not just another product to sell. It was created to help people like you be more successful with your site. It contains the very techniques that I use to get great search engine placements using the Sitebuilder program by Intuit/Homestead. Both of the local businesses we featured in the video that are getting clients from their websites made sales within two weeks. For a minimal investment, you can increase your chances tremendously for ranking of your website niche with Google, Yahoo and Bing.

I discovered a few great optimization tips for the Google business/ local listings that I’d like to share with you today. I recently had a client who was number one in the local search results for their website’s main keyword phrase. He called me a short while back and was disturbed because a new company’s website in his niche had trumped his placement. This really concerned me also because we had done everything relating to optimizing his business website’s pages correctly.

Here’s how I started to untangle the mystery. The first thing I did was to check the amount of back-links that his competitor had coming into their website. The results showed that they had NO back-links pointing to their website. This was a huge discovery in realizing that the listing had nothing to do with the quality or even the amount of links. Their website had ZERO. That was easy enough!

Still puzzled, I checked out the competitor’s website to see if they had used the main keyword phrase we were trying to rank for in any particular way that might give them favor in the Google Local Business Listing’s results. I discovered nothing that seemed to indicate that they had optimized their site better than we had ours. In fact the optimization on our pages was ten times better than theirs.

Next, I began to study the actual Google business registrations that each of the companies did. I began to notice some things that our competitor had done differently than my client had. There was one particular thing I noticed. They had written a review and my client had not.

So, I clicked on “write a review” for my client’s website and began writing an “Optimized” review. When I finished with it, I then closed out the window and refreshed my browser. Next, I entered our keyword phrase in the Google search box and hit “search.” Bata-Bing! I had unlocked the door and we were now stepping on the competitors’ heads. Within minutes I had turned the table upside down and we were once again number one on Google.

One thing I noticed right away when I looked at the review after doing the search is that the caches for the keywords were in “bold”. This was a huge indicator that the placement of the business in the results ranking was directly affected by the richness of the keywords on the review page.

Since discovering these tips, I have notified several friends and clients of mine and encouraged them to get their customers to write a review in the Google local Business Listings. These are the types of things we must continually do with “optimization” to improve our personal rankings and the positions of our clients’ web locations in the search results pages.

I watched this video at Web Pro News on search engine optimization. It’s more than just your Intuit website that needs to be cared for in today’s Internet world if you want to get traffic and top listings. The term “search engine optimization” is being redefined as the continence of technological evolution grows on a daily basis. No longer does the term apply to one website that you own.

No longer is getting traffic from Google, Yahoo and Bing to one website the main focus of the experts. As search results providers change and the social media explosion continues, traffic-getters are utilizing an uncounted number of sources for driving people to their sites. If we want to market our Homestead websites effectively we are going to have to learn some new strategies.

It may not be your website that gets top rankings in the results pages, but if you can use Twitter, Ezine Articles or Youtube to get a top listing and then have a link directed to your site, you have expanded your web-site’s search engine optimization.

In other words, search engine optimization techniques are changing. In order to be a success online, we have to leverage the many different power sites that are freely available to us.

What is a power site? I would define it as a high Google page rank authority site that continually gets top listings with Google. Youtube videos consistently dress the front pages of the results pages. Many article websites such as Ezine Artticles and Go Articles get top listings. These are power websites because they dominate the search engine results pages. An Ezine article can get a top listing within minutes of being published and stay in the first position for months to even years.

Success in getting traffic to your Intuit website is now dependent on building a “niche” community around your site. By leveraging the use of many websites search engine optimization is being redefined.

It’s no longer just about your site getting a top listing. If you are going to compete, you will need to drive traffic to your Intuit website from many different directions by leveraging many of the free blogs, article directories and video membership websites.

Learning how to use other domains in your search engine optimization strategy is going to take a large investment of your time. First you will have to create a membership with each site and then it will be necessary to learn how to use their web page publishing tools. Every site presents a new learning curve. Here’s the thing though, once you begin to write optimized content and start publishing your articles through the use of these power sites, it is possible to own three to five listings on the front-page of Google in a matter of moments. Point all of these articles and videos to your Intuit website through the use of click-able links and your chances of getting more traffic will increase dramatically.

The above strategy will only work though if you understand how to optimize an Intuit website for search engines.

Search engine optimization is most definitely being redefined by all of the rapid changes we are seeing as the evolution of social media, Google, Yahoo and Bing continues.

A person who is educated in getting top placements on Google with an Intuit/Homestead website can be considered an SEO Pro. I say this because the SiteBuilder program is not user-friendly when it comes to achieving high placements within the search engines.

Learning professional techniques to implement can make an amazing difference in how your Sitebuilder pages get ranked with the search engines. These strategies are not available just anywhere though. Information like this is valuable and therefore it generally takes an investment of money to learn about how to get top placements within Google, Yahoo and Bing.

There are more than seven things that must be done correctly inside the internal structure of your Sitebuilder website. If they are not done, the search engines (SE) will not like your pages.

It is very possible that many of your website pages are not being picked up by the major SE because the Site Builder has one major hindrance.

This problem is revealed in the Homestead Optimization Course. It explains how you can get around the issue.

What is SEO?
The term stands for “search engine optimization.” It basically means that there are specific things that Google, Yahoo and Bing (the three major search engines) are looking for to determine what your website is about. Once the Google bots have collected loads of data related to your site, the system determines where you get placed in the results pages.

If you have learned SEO from a pro as it relates to your Intuit/Homestead website, then you will have a good chance of placing well in the results pages.

If someone is a pro at getting top placements or in moving a website higher up in the results pages, then they have studied extensively from more resources than just “One eBook” with a few pages about Homestead website optimization.

I have been studying SEO for several years on a daily basis and have a very good handle on what is “working” as optimization relates to our Intuit/Homestead websites.

SEO tricks and techniques are constantly evolving and changing on a daily basis.

Some Internet professionals are saying that search engine optimization is changing more quickly than the medical profession. With the rapid evolution of what is referred to as “Web 2.0” and the pace at which things are changing in general on the web, if you are going to succeed with an Internet business or hobby site- you will need that leverage power attained from becoming educated on the subject from several sources beyond just your own Intuit Site Builder website.

Did you know that it is possible for one person to literally dominate the first two pages of the SERPS (search engine results pages) by leveraging the power of social media and “Web 2.0”? That’s another topic all in itself which SEO pros understand.

Your competition will use social media to literally BURY your website if you do not learn how to use “Web 2.0” to your advantage. Howey Swartz calls his social media strategies “Web 2.0 As A Weapon.”

What worked three years ago may still help our websites today to place well with the search engines, but Google is changing things so rapidly that professional SEO’s must continually keep in touch with what’s happening. One of the websites which I frequent to keep up with the fast-paced world of search engine optimization is “Web Pro News”.

If you want to learn from a reliable SEO pro, these Intuit/Homestead Sitebuilder-Optimization lessons will give you a solid foundation upon which to build.

Within the last two months, those of us who monitor SEO on a daily basis have seen natural listings get pushed down by three changes which Google has made.

1) Local search and Google maps are getting top priority in the search results.
2) Real Time news feeds are topping the first page of the SERPS.
3) Authority “brand-name” sites are getting three top listings on the front page of Google.

An SEO pro is constantly recognizing how the search engine results pages are changing. Another quality that the search engine optimization professional exhibits is his attentiveness to updating constantly on the ever-changing means about how to get better rankings for their customers within the midst of the changes.

Sitebuilder users who want to get natural (free) search traffic are going to have to start using the availability of “Web 2.0” sites in connection with their web pages and put forth effort to learn website optimization for their Intuit/Homestead website from an SEO pro.

This is just a lot of fun to share with all of you. In December I started this WordPress blog. In less than eleven full months, I have generated a steady stream of online visitors of over five hundred hits per day. How I did this is revealed in the video where I actually show my Google Analytics web statistics for this particular website.

Homestead Website Optimization SEO Extreme Video Series
GoDaddy.com Hosting Plans!

This is mostly traffic from Google, Yahoo and Bing, free traffic!

Go to Godaddy and sign up for a basic hosting account. Once you are set up, contact tech support and get them to set up your domain name with a WordPress blog. Once you do this, you can choose from the many templates that the blog offers. Settings up one of these blogs is like having a blog on steroids. If you will consistently add content to your pages, it must be optimized content though; you will see a steady increase in traffic over the long run.

My WordPress blog is hosted at Godaddy. A small hosting account costs less than ten dollars per month. The Word press blog is free to set up.

I used three plug-ins on the blog to help get all of these visitors.

1-All in One SEO
2-Related Posts plugin
3-Wp-Spam Free

There is a learning curve that goes along with learning how to use WordPress. Once you learn who to work with the Widgets, Plugins, and selecting templates, you will do just fine. It’s not a point, click, drag and drop system like the Intuit/Homestead Site Builder. You select a template and can start adding content right away.

Tip: Google loves blogs. Whenever you write an article , sometimes within seconds Google will index the page and put it int he search engines results. Yes, I said seconds! Start a blog related to your niche and then create links from your blog pointing to your Intuit/Homstead website pages. Post new articles ojn a daily basis. Eventually traffic will pour into your blog and find your main website with Intuit through your blog.

I always go to Youtube any time that I want to learn something about working with WordPress. They have hundreds of tutorials. Just keep the blog simple and focus on adding content on a daily basis.

Also, everything you need to know about writing optimized content is in the SEO Extreme video series designed to teach Homestead Website Optimization.

The video starts by showing one months worth of traffic and then I change the demonstration to reflect a chart graph showing the steady climb in website visitors, over the past ten and a half months. The peek so far has reached six hundred and seventy five visits in one day.

This is very exciting because the highest percentage of traffic is all free from search engines. I have never paid for any advertisements for this site ever.

A few visitors come from Twitter and Ezine Articles, but Google is responsible for well over ninety percent of the traffic.

These statistics that I am showing also will reflect the keyword phrases that people have found my website with. Almost fifteen hundred of them have driven over five hundred visitors to my pages on a daily basis.

The cool thing is that the numbers continue to increase as the content increases.

I address that my success is due to publishing over two hundred articles during the eleven month period.

If you study the SEO Extreme Video series for your Homestead website and apply the writing techniques explained in the video series, you can learn how to get top rankings with the search engines.

Content is the way to get loads of traffic for free. It actually will cost you an investment of time, by the rewards will be well worth your efforts if you stick with it. On this blog that is getting well over five hundred visitors per day, there is Adsense. I make a lot of money from the people who click on the advertisements. My Adsense statistics are very impressive too.

I have been an avid user of Intuit’s Homestead website builder for several years. If your site isn’t getting traffic, then you’re not being found. Why is that? Well, there are many factors that affect whether your pages are discovered by the major search engines known as Google, Bing and Yahoo. You should always register your website with the search engines and make sure that you have one link pointing to your site. Follow the suggestions below to get on the right track.

Do three things first to help get indexed with search engines.

1) Submit my site to Google.com (refer to the pictures below).

2) Create a back link-If you create a free account at Goarticles.com you can write an article about your niche. In the author’s bio section you can include the address of your website. Make sure that you post the entire URL (example: ‘http://www.mysite.com’) in this section.

3) You must learn Homestead website optimization. What does that mean? Well, inside the SiteBuilder there are specific things that must be done correctly in order for the search engines to even look at your pages. To begin learning how to get more traffic through search engines check out this free SEO Homestead eBook.

What does SEO stand for? This is the abbreviation for the term “search engine optimization.” There are at least ten things inside the Site Builder that must be done correctly in order for your pages to be optimized properly. Once everything is coordinated together in unity, then you will have a much better chance of getting found by search engines.

If your Homestead website is not optimized correctly you are not getting the traffic you desire.

The keywords that you are focusing will on have a lot to do with where you are placed in the search engine results pages.

After making the proper corrections to get your site optimized correctly, it may take a few months to a year before you start showing up on the first page of the search results. This is very much dependent upon the amount of competition that you have in your niche. You will be indexed and somewhere in the results but being found in top placements is going to require some work.

That could very well be another reason why your Homestead site isn’t getting discovered, the level of competition is too great for a new website to rank well. If this is the case, then as you study and learn about how to optimize a Homestead website, you’re going to get tips on how to beat the competition.

Four of the most competitive niches are insurance, money, websites and dating. If your website is related to any of those niches, you will have to put forth effort to get traffic.

If your Homestead web pages are indexed, but no where to be found, then you are going to have to work at getting traffic to come to your pages. If you have the time to invest in learning, start with the free Homestead Get More Traffic eBook and the SEO ebook for SiteBuilder Users. Both of these offer suggestions for getting your Intuit website found on the Internet by more people.

RealTracker.com

Did you know that your Homestead website program comes with a free statistics program? How you check to see the Real Tracker traffic results for your SiteBuilder pages is done through your main account login. The system is rather easy to use once you spend a little time learning the ropes. Discovering how many people are coming to your pages and how they are getting there can be extremely helpful for building an Internet presence. Once you understand the importance of this, the way you manage your Site will change for the better.

Steps For Checking Website Statistics

Step 1

Start by logging into your main Homestead website account area. The login page can be found by going to Homestead.com. Once there, in the upper right hand corner there is a place to click on “login.” Enter your name and password in the text boxes and click on submit.

Homestead Login

Step 2

When you enter the account area, in the center of the page will be a dropdown box, choose the website that you want to check your statistics for. You will have to wait several seconds while the page automatically refreshes its self.

Select Website Domain

Step 3

Directly below the dropdown box, where you selected your website choice from, is a phrase that says: “View your website statistics,” left click on that.

Choose View Statistics

Now the Real Tracker statistics page will show up in a new window. There are several different visitors’ stats that are recorded and stored in the program. To master the entire database operations is going to take a while. Usually, my main concern is checking to see how people found my SiteBuilder pages. There are many valuable functions inside the Real Tracker. Here are a few of the programs titles with some brief descriptions of the statistics that they yield.

Selecting The Date Range

On the left hand side of the page you can select specific date ranges that you want to study.

The Totals Section

In this section you can view the total amounts of traffic that you are getting to your Homestead website pages in graph form. The style of the graph display can be altered to reflect the amount of visitors that you incurred either by individual days, weeks, months or annually.

The Last One Hundred

This is my favorite part of the Real Tracker statistics tool. It displays the most recent one hundred visitors to your Homestead SiteBuilder pages. The display will show the exact phrase that they used to find your website through a search engine. It will tell you which search engine they used to find you with. You can click on the keyword phrase link and it will then open into the exact search results page and show you where your keyword phrase ranked on the page.

Behavior

This section of the website stats puts everything in order by quantity. When you open the statistics area the table will show which pages of your website are getting traffic from the most visited pages to the least.

Learning how to check traffic statistics will be very helpful with improving the amount of traffic that you get to your Homestead site’s pages. Once you understand which search terms that people are using to find you, then you can make minor or even major adjustments to make your SiteBuilder pages more appealing.

Internet marketers who succeed online keep a close watch on the stats for website traffic compared to the conversion of sales. They are forever altering, tweaking, adjusting and changing pages to bring more positive results.

I had built several pages and was getting few visitors per day. I want to share with you some highlights from the techniques that I’ve mastered in order to increase the number of people that come to my sites.

First, check out my credentials in this video that proves that I get top rankings with Google.

More info about the SEO Extreme Video Series

Building traffic to a Homestead website is something that progresses over time, but there are specific things that you must do in order to see positive results in this arena.

If you haven’t read the Homestead website traffic eBook yet, I recommended that you download it. It can be found at the HomesteadUsers.com website. There are thirty suggested ways of increasing website visits in the ebooks content.

Traffic Building Strategies

There are three major things that can be done to see an increase in visitors. Tutorials for all three of these suggestions can be found in the Homestead Users Marketing Center.

1)	Learn How to Optimize Your Website- You must develop an understanding of exactly what you must do inside the SiteBuilder program. Trust me you will not be able to figure this optimization thing out on your own. Get our product designed specifically for working inside the Site Builder program to help you learn about optimizing your pages. There are about twelve things that must be done in a certain fashion in order for you to increase in website visits.

2)	Link Building-What used to be a well-kept secret is all over the Internet. Building quality links is a great way to increase the amount of visitors that come to your site. This approach takes loads of time before you see positive results, but it must be done.

3)	Creating a sitemap, uploading it into the Site Builder and notifying Goolge that you have one is a great way to enjoy an increase in visitors.

There are at least thirty things that need to be done in order to get traffic coming into a Homestead website. One of the best things that you can make a regular practice of is generating content. Not just any kind of content though, it should be optimized content.

What’s Hindering Me From Getting Traffic to My Homestead Website?

1) If you are using the built-in navigation feature that is provided with many of the Homestead website templates, then many of your sites pages are not even being seen by Google. The answers as to why this is and how to remedy the situation can be found in the SEO Extreme Video series on the HomesteadUsers.com website or it is available in the Homestead Users Marketing Center as well.

2) Poor SEO (search engine optimization)

3) Very little content-Each page of your website should have no less than three hundred words worth of content. I personally shoot for 500 to 800 words on a page that I want to get a lot of traffic coming into.

4) Keywords are not profitable- If you are not focusing on good keywords that are related to your niche, then you will not be getting much traffic to your Homestead site. You have to think about what someone would type into a search box in order to find your site.

If you will invest some time and a little money in a few of the products we have developed specifically for Homestead website users, then I guarantee that you will eventually enjoy an increase in traffic. Patients is a huge part of this process. If you are in a market that has savvy Internet marketers as your competitors, you may never enjoy a lot of website visitors. If the niche you are in is saturated with competition, then you may have to pay to get traffic. Just by downloading the free SEO Homestead Website eBook we developed will give you enough ideas to get you a few extra visitors.
