This link building technique cannot be abused. You will get Google slapped if you build too many links too fast.

Alternate the websites that you submit to every time you add a new backlink.

Prior to running the advertisements on Youtube, five percent of the people who have opted-into my email list have purchased a product. The honest truth about my experience so far with the Youtube promoted videos is that the optin rate has not increased and neither have my conversions. I have seen a small increase in visitors coming to my site.

Looking at my statistics so far (see image above), the cost per click (CPC) is very low. An average CPC for this niche on the Adwords network is about thirty cents per click. What really concerns me is that I am not seeing an increase in traffic, optins or conversions. Now there have been many thousands of impressions. I’ve also had four hundred and fifty (450) clicks on the Youtube promoted video.

So how should I look at this?

Well there are two ways and my goals define whether or not I should continue using Youtube promoted videos or not.

If I am simply seeking to get exposure for my website through advertising, then this seems to be a reasonably priced way to get my website in front of a lot of niche targeted people. I mean, it only cost twenty seven ($27) dollars to have four hundred and fifty people view information about my product and website location.

If my goal is mostly based on making product sales conversions, perhaps I haven’t tested this long enough. I mean, through SEO I make three sales (totaling $120) per every twenty seven hundred visitors (2700). What happens when I do the math?

I’ve already spent twenty seven dollars ($27) on Youtube promoted videos to get four hundred and fifty clicks with very few people actually coming to my website. If I hold out to the point of getting 2700 Promoted Video clicks, it will cost me one hundred and sixty two dollars ($162). It seems like I’m wasting my money if I am seeking to get conversions, when the clicks on the videos are not bringing people to my website.

I’d say that Youtube Promoted videos are definitely working to get my website name and product in front of people. For actual conversions, this short-term experiment is bombing out. It makes sense though, most of the people on Youtube are there to watch videos-not go clicking off to some other website.

Recently I watched an excellent video about what can be accomplished within a month of starting a new blog when hard work and a business mindset unite. We can learn very important guidelines for starting a successful blog from this video review about the  Planting Dollars site.  It was developed by Lisa on her “2 Create A Website” blog.

The inspiration for the title of THIS post, (“Stop Whining; Start Working on Your Website!”) was realized about twelve minutes into the video. As I listened to Lisa talking about how success is the direct result of working a plan, I recalled when the light was turned on for me. The turning point of my Internet success came when I made a commitment to post one article per day on a blog that I manage. Because I did not get discouraged and continued to work towards my goal, my blog now has over eight hundred visitors per day after only one year.

Much of my determination to NOT GIVE UP was due to one person who posted a comment in the Website Babble forum in response to my whining about how slow things were going with making money on the Internet.

They simply said: “Hang in there, it’s definitely worth the wait.” I am in total agreement with that statement now.

Since then my online income has steadily increased, but the upward change in revenue came as a direct result of being persistent in steadily working on improving my sites.

As I have mentioned in prior posts, we must treat our website business like a regular job and not as a hobby.

That’s the beauty of making money on the Internet. Once we learn how to automate our systems and duplicate the things that are working, we will enjoy recurring fruit from our labor.

If you are anything like me, whenever I download an e-book I go to my inbox immediately to look at it. I’m certain that this was such a distraction from my products that people never returned to the page. The download included two free books. That was a lot of information for people to sift through.

While testing the web site’s sales page, the day I took the email optin and the books off of the page, I had three sales. That was a real eye opener because up until then I had only made two sales in about two weeks while the free downloads were on the page.

If the goal of the sales page is to sell a product, the product should be the main attraction of the page. It’s important to keep the main thing the main thing.

This form of promoting your niche site is called article marketing. Create an account with article directories like Ezine Articles, Go Articles or Article Cube. Write keyword focused content and add an anchor text link in the author bio section at the bottom of the page directing people to your Intuit website page.

Youtube
Download a screen recorder or get a  Flip UltraHD Camcorder that shoots videos which can be uploaded to Youtube fast and easily. The Flip recorder is simple to use and creates outstanding videos.

Include information about your Intuit website in your Youtube videos and also a link in the the “more info” section of the video description box. Youtube is a very popular way to get your name on the Internet fast. The great thing about videos is if you choose good keyword phrases in your titles the videos show up on the first page of Google often. This type of website promotion will establish you as an authority in your niche quickly.

Those are three of the quickest and easiest ways for marketing and promoting your Intuit website. The Homestead SEO Videos, from the Homestead Users site will teach you how to get free traffic through the search engines. This is by far one of the best methods of generating lasting traffic for free and promoting your site.

When I started getting serious about Internet marketing, I posted a no-cost download on one of the pages of my Homestead Users website. The idea behind this method of making more money online is that once you collect an email address, in exchange for the free product, you can then market to the customer as often as you like. One thing that I learned recently is that you should have one goal when people land on your pages. If you mix up a free download with products that you are trying to sell, oftentimes the visitor will click- off of your Intuit/Homestead website to go and get the free download from their in-box. If you want your visitors to buy something, then focus on selling your products. If you are trying to collect an email address, then set up a free download and email address collection system.

Some Internet marketers use free trials or products to lure customers in, then they put the subscriber on a membership recurring-payment plan. This is a tactic that Russel Bronson is using right now in a program called Micro Continuity. The visitor to the website sees something for free and finds out that there is a shipping and handling charge associated with getting the offer. Once the credit card information is taken, the free product is delivered and the customer is then placed on a recurring billing cycle to either receive more products or have access to a member’s area.

There is great power in using the word “free” on your Intuit/Homestead website. For example, you will find on this Homestead website builder review page that the “free trial text” and the “red arrow” are a good working combination for moving the customers in the proper direction. Everyone likes to get something for nothing, especially if it is something of value. Being able to try something out first before having to pay for it is a great way to sell something.

So, consider giving away something in exchange for an email address or set a customer up on a membership billing cycle after they get their first month for free. You can offer a free trial and then have them automatically billed through your Paypal account.
